Author Biography

Elyse Luray is an appraiser and historian in popular culture, formerly on the staff: of Christie's and a regular on Antiques Roadshow. She is currently one of five hosts on the hit PBS show History Detectives and a contributor to The Nate Berkus Show. She is also the appraiser on the yearly HGTV special, the Longest Yard Safe and provides appraisals for the HGTV show, if Walls Could Talk. Luray is a licensed auctioneer, lending her talents to events throughout the country, including the Miami Food and Wine Festival, the Chesapeake Bay Wine Classic Foundation; and "A Toast To Women in Wine," the nation's premier celebration of female winemakers and fine cuisine.
