Summary

This book was inspired by the realization that group psychotherapy and political reality make up a two-way mirror. Structures and developmental trajectories of Political entities and systems of governance are explored in light of the way in which interactive psychotherapy and other process groups organize themselves, develop as cultures, and function when working on or avoiding their primary tasks. The authors identify and extend group dynamic principles both to illuminate political settings through awareness of their process group elements and also to clarify and complement process group experience by taking into account the lessons of politics and history.
