The content in the second edition has been thoroughly revised to reflect the changes in the field since the first edition - in particular, cervical cytology has been revised in light of recent and future developments in automated screening. There are significant changes to the sections on recordinginformation, the role of HPV, patient counselling and an entirely new chapter on training, accreditation and certification. Case histories have been introduced throughout the text.
