Author Biography

Terry R. Malone, EdD, PT, ATC a professor and director of the Division of Physical Therapy at the University of Kentucky, College of Health Sciences in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Malone received his EdD and MSPT from Duke University in North Carolina and his BA from Bluffton College in Ohio. Dr. Malone served as the initial Sports PT and was the Coordinator of the Sports Medicine Clinic at Duke. He served as the initial Chairman of the Sports Specialization Council of the APTA and has been liaison to the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and is a member of that organization. Dr. Malone was the initial chair and dean of the Krannert School of PT at the University of Indianapolis. Dr. Malone's interest in the field of PT extends to sports medicine and orthopedic injuries. He has been actively involved with orthopaedic outcomes assessment related to shoulder and knee conditions. He has published extensively on soft tissue injuries and rehabilitation. Isokinetic exercise/assessment, ligamentous injury and rehabilitation, and muscle-tendon deformation and repair our among his research interests. He instructs classes in research, administration and orthopedics of the shoulder and knee.
Charles Hazle, MS PT is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Physical Therapy at the University of Kentucky in Lexington Kentucky.. His clinical practice in the out-patient setting has been as the Director of Physical Therapy at Winchester, Kentucky for nine years. He has institutional experience as Director of Physical Therapy at Central Baptist Hospital. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana State University in Environmental Health and a Bachelor’s and an advanced clinical Master’s Degree from the University of Kentucky in Physical Therapy. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the Rehabilitation Sciences program. He has teaching and research interests in manual therapy, evaluation and treatment of spinal and peripheral joint disorders, and industrial injury reduction.
Michael L. Grey, MS RT(R)(MR)(CT), is an associate professor in the Radiologic Sciences Program at the University of Illinois, Carbondale, Carbondale, Illinois. He is also author of CT and MRI Pathology published by McGraw-Hill.
