Author Biography

Thomas A. Shannon is professor emeritus of religion and social ethics in the Department of Humanities and Arts at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Massachusetts. For several years, he was an adjunct professor of moral theology at Weston Jesuit School of Theology, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Nicholas J. Kockler is assistant professor in the Bioethics Institute of Loyola Marymount University and an ethicist in Catholic health care where he provides service in clinical bioethics.
