Summary

The crowds go wild! With all the galvanizing drama of athletes pushed to their limits, Al Silverman chronicles the most memorable events in twentieth-century sports. In It's Not Over 'Til It's Over, Al Silverman, former editor of Sport magazine and author of I Am Third (on which the movie Brian's Song was based), exuberantly re-creates the most electrifying down-to-the-wire sports turn-arounds of the last hundred years. With extraordinary narrative detail and fresh insights culled from interviews with many of the participants of these now-legendary contests, It's Not Over 'Til It's Over captures the thrill and astonishment of players and spectators alike. Whether it is the bottom of the ninth, the 15th round, or the eighteenth hole that brings cheering, screaming, fans to their feet, each of these thirteen tales celebrates the uncompromising, unwillingness to quit that has proven, time and again: you better not leave the stadium early.
