Author Biography

Boris Volodarsky is a former captain of the GRU Spetsnaz and currently an independent intelligence analyst, a member of the World Association of International Studies (Hoover Institution, Stanford University) and a co-editor of the international Personal Files intelligence history magazine. Mr. Volodarsky is the author of Nikolai Khokhlov: Self-Esteem with a Halo (Borwall Verlag, 2005), as well as a number of articles on intelligence topics published, primarily, in The Wall Street Journal. He is the author of The Orlov File: The Greatest KGB Deception of All Time (forthcoming 2008). Mr. Volodarsky is currently working on his PhD on the Soviet intelligence history.
