ELIAS G.CARAYANNIS is Professor of Management Science, George Washington University. PIERO FORMICA has over 30 years of experience in the fields of international economics and the economics of innovation. He is Marie Curie Professor of Knowledge Economy and Entrepreneurship, at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, the Univeristy of Tartu, Estonia
