Author Biography

Steve Darlow was born in Tonbridge, Kent, educated at Alleynes School in Stevenage, Hertfordshire and is a graduate of Loughborough University. His interest in military aviation originates in the eyes of a young boy at an airshow, wondering at the spectacle of the Spitfire, the Hurricane, the Lancaster. As a grandson of a Bomber Command pilot he has developed a keen interest in the RAF and the exploits of the aircrews that fought the war over Germany and the occupied territories. He works for the English Basketball Association and has played basketball for England 16 times. In his spare time he continues to research Bomber Command. He is married with two fine young sons, living in Stotfold, Bedfordshire
