Summary

The book introduces students to the principles of respiratory medicine and provide an overview of all the respiratory diseases covered on an undergraduate medical course. It is split into three sections: anatomy and physiology, history-taking and examination, and respiratory diseases. The aetiology, clinical features, progression, investigations, and management of each respiratory disease/condition are summarised under these headings, supplemented by relevant images. The authors have expanded the anatomy and physiology section in order to make it more relevant to today's medical school courses, add self-assessment questions (in line with the updating of all LN titles) and included more clinical photographs to replace some of the line drawings portraying symptoms. 60 line drawings; 50 mono halftones
