Author Biography

Dr. Hunter Campbell “Patch” Adams is a physician, professional clown, performer, and author. He founded the Gesundheit! Institute in 1972. Each year he and a group of volunteers travel to countries around the world to bring hope to orphans and patients. His life was the basis of the film Patch Adams, starring Robin Williams. Adams is currently raising funds for his visionary hospital to be built in West Virginia.
