When young Marlene discovers in the winter of 1974 that she is pregnant with Herr Wegener’s child, her husband and the most feared man in all of Tyrol, she realizes that she must escape from him if she wants to raise her child far away from violence. But while she’s on the run from him she has a car accident from which she is saved by Simon Keller, a mountain farmer who lives in the traditional Tyrolean style.
