Summary

Written from a perspective that will both empower children and comfort their parents, "Will Little Roo Ever…?" follows a little girl named Ruby from infancy through her first day of school. Ruby isn't developing as quickly as other children, and her parents wonder if she'll catch up. As she finally reaches each milestone, they experience both relief and a tinge of sadness in the realization that she won't remain little forever.

Author Biography

Chuck first found his writing voice in the 1990s by writing about a topic he loves—weight training—for HARDGAINER magazine. He wrote additional training articles in the early 2000s for MILO and Elitefts. In 2016, he wrote Inside the Mind of an Iron Icon with HARDGAINER's publisher. Only after his daughter died in 2013 did he begin diversifying, first by blogging about grief coping and later by writing essays on politics, relationships, self-improvement, and other topics for Thought Catalog and Elephant Journal. Growing up in a small town in West Virginia, he developed a sense of the world that permeates his writing even today as he makes his home outside Philadelphia. Will Little Roo Ever...? is his first children's book.Jacob Below grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado, and graduated from the Kubert School of Graphic Arts in Dover, New Jersey. Living with Asperger's Syndrome, he could easily relate to Roo's developmental struggles when drawing her. For example, he recalls his own challenges acquiring the motor skills required for tying his shoes; a task he didn't master until he was 6 years old. Since moving to New Jersey and attending Kubert, Jacob has begun making a name for himself drawing caricatures and illustrating children's books.
