Author Biography

Curator MATTHIAS OSTERMANN has lectured, taught, and exhibited worldwide. He is an elected member of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva, Switzerland, and specializes in low-fire tin-glaze techniques for functional domestic wares, sculpture, and architectural wall tile.

 

Curator GLEN R. BROWN is an art historian, critic, and full professor of modern and contemporary art history at Kansas State University. An elected member of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva, Brown has dedicated much of his research to marginalized media in contemporary art. More than 40 of his essays have appeared in books and exhibition catalogs, and he has authored nearly 300 articles and reviews for magazines.
