On the day of the astral merging of the three suns and the three moons, Ashran the Necromancer seized power in Idhún. Meanwhile, on Earth, Jack suffers from strange nightmares about a world of unknown stars and red skies crossed by winged serpents. One day, after witnessing his parents’ murder, he discovers that his dreams are real and that both he and Victoria have been summoned to join the Resistance, which is made up of two exiled Idhunites to free Idhún in a battle of unimaginable proportions.
