Author Biography

Professor A. A. Gromov is the Lab Head of Energy and Chemical Synthesis at the Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU), Russia. Having obtained his academic degrees from TPU, he spent most of his career working for KIT (Karlsruhe, Germany), Fraunhofer ICT (Pfinztal, Germany), Uni PoliMi (Milano, Italy), Uni OU (Ulsan, South Korea) before taking up his present appointment at TPU. Professor Gromov has authored over 150 scientific publications and has received numerous Russian scientific awards, including the Russian Academy of Science Medal in 2009. He is also a reviewer for numerous scientific journals Propellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics; Thermochimica Acta, Applied Surface Science, Surface Science, Combustion and Flame, Surface Coating and Technology, Combustion, Explosion and Shock Waves, Materials Science and Engineering B, Applied Materials & Interfaces, Materials Chemistry and Physics, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Science and Technology of Advanced Materials and participant in several FP7 projects.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrich Teipel, Georg-Simon-Ohm University Nuremberg. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Applied Science of M?nster, Germany and from 1983 to 1990 Chemical Engineering and Fluid Mechanics at the Technical University (RWTH) of Aachen, Germany. In 1991 he worked as a Research Scientist at the Fraunhofer Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), as Leader of the research group Particle Technology and Deputy Head of the department Energetic Materials. Since 2004 he is a Professor of Particle Technology, Mechanical Process Engineering and Fluidmechanics at the University of Applied Science Nuremberg, Germany and since 2009 Vice Dean of Faculty of Chemical Engineering. His research focuses on Particle Technology: Grinding and Classification, Crystallization, Mineral Processing, Nanoparticles and Filtration, Rheology of disperse systems, Interaction between particles and fluid phases or solids. Prof Teipel is a Member of the German Society of Crystallization and Communition and Classification, Head of German working group Particles: Properties and the interaction with Products at the European Environmental Engineering Society and Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Bulk Solids, of the Journal of Aerospace and Technology and Management and of the Journal Chemical Engineering Technology. 2006 he received an Award from the German Society of Engineering (VDI).
