Author Biography

John Scalzi's debut novel, Old Man's War, was a finalist for the Hugo Award for Best Novel, as were his novels The Last Colony and Zoe's Tale. Scalzi's other novels include Agent to the Stars. The Android's Dream. and The Ghost Brigades. In 2006, he won the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer. His weblog, The Whatever (whatever.scalzi.com), is one of the longest-running and most widely read journals on the Internet; in 2009, he won a Hugo Award for Your Hate Mail Will Be Graded, a collection of writing from the site. John Scalzi lives in Ohio with his wife and daughter.
