Summary

This book presents an innovative approach to reinforcing students� math skills. The 27 engaging lessons are easy to implement, require little or no preparation, and take only 5 to 15 minutes to teach. Designed for use during transition times, the minilessons help students practice math concepts, skills, and processes by applying them in a variety of problem-solving contexts throughout the school day. Author Biography

Rusty Bresser, an elementary classroom teacher for more than twenty years, is currently a Lecturer and a Supervisor of Education Studies at the University of California at San Diego. He is the author of Math and Literature, Grades 4û6, Second Edition (Math Solutions Publications, 2004), a coauthor of Developing Number Sense, Grades 3û6 (Math Solutions Publications, 1999), and a Math Solutions Professional Development instructor. Caren Holtzman, an elementary classroom teacher for ten years, is currently a Lecturer and a Supervisor of Education Studies at the University of California at San Diego. She is the author of several children's books as well as a coauthor of Developing Number Sense, Grades 3û6 (Math Solutions Publications, 1999).
