Author Biography

DANIEL VAUGHAN-WHITEHEAD is Senior Advisor at the International Labour Office, Switzerland. He has managed many international projects on social issues and is the author of many books and articles on wages, industrial relations, social dumping, workers participation and social policies in general. He played a key advisory role in transition countries from Central and Eastern Europe in the early 1990s and then put this experience at the service of the European Commission in the recent EU enlargement process. He returned to the ILO in 2004, where he is today responsible for wages and working conditions around the world.
