Summary

Make better decisions, lower costs, and bring about positive workplace change with this system for effective meetings

Companies relentlessly rely on a meeting culture. If you call a company executive, they are inevitably "in a meeting." So in most organizations work is defined by meetings. Yet companies hire individuals, not meeting attendees. Organization charts still feature individuals not teams. Understanding this, David Wethey has come up with the mote system—a streamlined system and process for running more effective meetings. The process is driven by a two person team—the Leader (who is tasked with driving a project or a decision) and a Navigator (a meeting specialist responsible for facilitation, casting, and logistics). Specialists and experts are added as needed, and stood down when they have made their contribution. Packed with groundbreaking case studies, including working trials at Google and leading advertising agency Geometry, this book shows you why you need to make your meetings matter. Implementing the mote system pay guarantees a better ROI, allows time and emphasis for innovation, and is universally applicable and pay-grade agnostic. Engage with mote now, and meet the future of your business.
