Author Biography

Jessica Reaves has worked as a reporter for nearly 15 years for the Chicago News Cooperative, the Chicago Tribune, and Time.com. She lives in Chicago. Carolyn Starks was a reporter at the Chicago Tribune for 12 years, earning numerous state and national awards, including the Beck Award and a nomination for the Pulitzer Prize. She lives in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Stephen Ravenscraft is a graphic artist who spent 18 years as the senior art director at the Chicago Tribune, producing award-winning page layouts and illustrations for most of the feature sections. He currently develops interactive, multimedia stories and websites for Loyola University Chicago. He lives in Lombard, Illinois.
