T.M. Rives è nato e ha studiato in California. Nel corso dell'università, a Los Angeles, ha deciso di iniziare a viaggiare per completare la sua formazione. Ha terminato gli studi in Francia, poi ha viaggiato per dodici anni in diversi paesi europei, scrivendo e traducendo. Si è poi stabilito a New York, dove continua a scrivere, fotografare e produrre documentari dedicati ai viaggi e all'arte.


T.M. Rives was born and educated in California. During studies in Los Angeles, he was struck by a need to widen his experience through travel; after completing studies in France, he spent the next twelve years in different countries in Europe, publishing translations and fiction. Eventually landing in New York City, where he has lived for the last ten years, T.M. Rives continues to write and photograph, as well as make documentary film on travel and the arts.
