201 Mouthwatering, Kid-Pleasing Treats

Confetti Bars

Makes 12 bars

Depending on the colors of the sprinkles you choose, these can be tailored for a specific holiday. Multicolored sprinkles are a sure hit year-round.

Ingredients:

¼ cup (½ stick) unsalted butter
One 10-ounce package marsh­mallows
7 cups rice cereal
½ cup multicolored candy sprinkles

Instructions:

1. Spray a 9 × 13-inch baking pan with cooking spray and set aside.

2. Heat the butter in a large nonstick saucepan over low heat until melted. Add the marshmallows and continue cooking, stirring until smooth, 2 to 3 minutes.

3. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cereal, then the sprinkles, stirring to mix well.

4. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Cool completely, about 20 minutes, before cutting into 3x3¼-inch bars.
