Summary

In the 1980s, hardcore baseball fans feasted on an innovative kind of book, one with new statistics, new analytical methods, and new perspectives. This kind of cutting-edge analysis was typified by Bill James's Baseball Abstract and more recently by Baseball Prospectus. Pro Football Prospectus aims to bring the same sort of analytical revolution to professional football. Working with the most detailed football database ever compiled, the Prospectus provides insight into, and analysis of, the plays, players, and strategies that make a difference.
