Summary

This book develops vocabulary skills at the readers own pace and gives immediate feedback by letting them check their own progress. It is organized around word parts, word types, and words from different disciplines. The book contains exercises that require repeated recall of each defined word. It stresses the use of descriptive words and muscular verbs and encourages the elimination of wordiness and clichés.
