Author Biography

Lee Nelson, M.D., has kept abreast of the medical benefits of nutrition and its effect on disease for more than 20 years. The importance of nutrition in reducing heart disease and cancer is now well-established. But Dr. Nelson doesn’t believe that nutrition alone is likely to cure cancer, although it may go a long way toward preventing it. In Prostate Cancer—Prevention and Cure, Dr. Nelson shows you how conventional medicine and complementary therapies working in concert are a much more potent combination than is either independently.

In writing this book, Dr. Nelson reviewed more than 2,000 medical papers and abstracts. He interviewed many of the top experts in the field. He also made extensive use of his experiences fighting and recovering from prostate cancer. Doctors’ opinions have not been accepted on blind faith, but have been rigorously examined and questioned in light of the current medical literature. As Dr. Nelson says, “If I had been aware of the contents of this book at the time of my diagnosis of prostate cancer, I would have done a number of things quite differently. Since being diagnosed with prostate cancer, Dr. Nelson has dedicated himself to educating men about the disease.
