Author Biography

Juan-David Nasio is a psychoanalyst who lives and works in Paris. He was the first psychoanalyst to be inducted into the prestigious French Legion of Honor. Stephanie Grace Schull is Director of Instructional Innovation and Assessment at Hawai'i Pacific University. Franois Raffoul is Professor of Philosophy at Louisiana State University. David Pettigrew is Professor of Philosophy at Southern Connecticut State University. Together Raffoul and Pettigrew have translated Nasio's Five Lessons, on the Psychoanalytic Theory of Jacques Lacan; The Book of Love and Pain: Thinking at the Limit with Freud and Lacan; and Oedipus: The Most Crucial Concept in Psychoanalysis, all published by SUNY Press.
