How Access Codes Work

Summary

DIGITAL UPDATE available for Fall 2021 classes

For courses in Introductory Sociology

Teach students to use evidence and insights to understand sociological phenomena
Revel® Sociology: Evidence and Insights guides students to analyze society through a combination of data and classic and contemporary sociological perspectives. In today's era of "alternative facts" and "fake news," authors Timothy Curry, Robert Jiobu, and Cynthia Fabrizio Pelak give students the tools to distinguish between sociological insights and claims not supported by data. They apply their dual evidence-and-sociological-insights approach to examine the intersectionality of race/ethnicity, class, and gender, and to explore related issues of economic inequality, immigration, and racial and gender exploitation, around which political controversies continue to swirl. By asking readers to make arguments from different sociological perspectives and to describe the evidence that supports those perspectives, Sociology: Evidence and Insights empowers students to bridge the great political and social divides that characterize our world today. The Digital Update offers new interactive graphs, new videos that explain key concepts, and coverage of contemporary events and trends.

Revel is Pearson's newest way of delivering our respected content. Fully digital and highly engaging, Revel replaces the textbook and gives students everything they need for the course. Informed by extensive research on how people read, think, and learn, Revel is an interactive learning environment that enables students to read, practice, and study in one continuous experience, for less than the cost of a traditional textbook.

NOTE: This Revel Combo Access pack includes a Revel access code plus a loose-leaf print reference (delivered by mail) to complement your Revel experience. In addition to this access code, you will need a course invite link, provided by your instructor, to register for and use Revel.
