Summary

Taking its title from a story in the collection, this anthology brings together the best prose writing in Quebec—all short pieces—from the winners and finalists of the last three years of the Quebec Writing Competition. Montreal’s CBC Radio and the Quebec Writers’ Federation created the competition in 1999 which resulted in four previous anthologies. The winning stories are broadcast on CBC Radio and published in Maisonneuve magazine.

Author Biography

Elise Moser is the author of Because I Have Loved and Hidden It. She has won the Quebec Writing Competition twice, and was twice a runner-up. Her short stories have been published and broadcast across Canada, in the U.S., and throughout the Commonwealth, and she is president of the Quebec Writers’ Federation. She lives in Montreal.
