At the dawn of the 19th century, we travel with Jane Austen to Sanditon, a coastal town determined to become the tourist attraction of the moment: an exceptional spa ready to receive the highest society, a place of recreation and sanatorium thanks to the virtues of the sea. However, readers will witness the struggle of her characters to locate Sanditon on the map. Amid social change, the author draws the saber of her sharp irony and portrays an eccentric community, divided between pretentious and arrogant characters. Sanditon is her last, unfinished novel and a posthumous gift to her readers.
