Author Biography

Paul N. Bloom is Adjunct Professor of Social Entrepreneurship and Marketing in the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship of Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, where he also serves as the Center's Faculty Director. He is the author of many books, including Knowledge Development in Marketing and The Handbook of Marketing and Society. Edward Skloot is Founding Director of the Center for Strategic Philanthropy and Civil Society and Professor of the Practice of Public Policy at the Terry Sanford School of Public Policy of Duke University. He was principal author and editor of The Nonprofit Entrepreneur, and a collection of speeches and articles, Beyond the Money: Reflections on Philanthropy, the Nonprofit Sector and Civil Life, 1999-2006. He serves on the boards of Venture Philanthropy Partners, Citizen Schools, and other social/entrepreneurial organizations.
