Author Biography

Greg Brigman, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Counselor Education at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). He is a former teacher and school counselor, and has worked with students from elementary to high school. He developed a course in school consultation that he teaches regularly at FAU. Dr. Brigman supervises school counselor interns who put into practice the consultation skills taught in this text. Dr. Brigman has developed a K-12 evidence-based SEL program titled Student Sucess Skills and provides national and international training workshops related to school counseling. 

Elizabeth Villares, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Counselor Education at Florida Atlantic University. She is a former high school counselor and counseling director, and also teaches a course at FAU in school consultation and supervises school counselor interns who put into practice the consultation skills taught in this text. Her research areas include school counseling outcome research. She regularly works with school districts to develop effective counseling programs and to evaluate the impact of school counselors on student achievement and behavior. 

Fran Mullis, Ph.D., is a professor-emeritus in the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services at Georgia State University, where she was a counselor educator. She coordinated the school counseling program and collaborated on the development of a course in School Counselor Consultation that uses the concepts and skills presented in this text. Dr. Mullis has experience as a school counselor and has published in the area of school counselor consultation and school counseling. 

Linda D. Webb, Ph.D., is a professor-emeritus in the department of Counselor Education at Florida Atlantic University. She has expereince as a school counselor and guidance director at the elementary and high school levels. Dr. Webb has published and presented on many topics critical to student success. She has worked collaboratively to develop and teach a course in school counselor consultation based on the concepts, skills, and strategies presented in this text. 

JoAnna White, Ed.D., is a professor-emeritus and former chair of the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services at Georgia State University. She has experience as a public school counselor and has published in the area of school counselor consultation. Dr. White collaborated with Dr. Mullis to develop and teach a course in school counselor consultation at Georgia State University.
