He has also served as Staff Counsel to the ABA Standing Committee on Professionalism, the ABA Commission on Multidisciplinary Practice (1998-2000) the ABA Task Force on the Model Definition of the Practice of Law (2002-2003) and the ABA Task Force on the Future of Legal Education (2012-2014).

As the former General Counsel to the Illinois State Bar Association and staff lawyer at the Illinois Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, Mary has more than 20 years experience working on lawyer and judge ethics.
