Author Biography

Art Garwin , of Chicago, IL., is the Director of the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility. He has also served as Staff Counsel to the ABA Standing Committee on Professionalism, the ABA Commission on Multidisciplinary Practice (1998-2000) the ABA Task Force on the Model Definition of the Practice of Law (2002-2003) and the ABA Task Force on the Future of Legal Education (2012-2014).

Dennis A. Rendleman, Ethics Counsel, American Bar Association, Chicago, IL Dennis A. Rendleman is ethics counsel in the Center for Professional Responsibility at the American Bar Association. He serves as chief counsel to the Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility and provides oversight for ETHICSearch.

Mary McDermott is Assistant Ethics Counsel at the American Bar Association where she researches and writes on issue of professional conduct. As the former General Counsel to the Illinois State Bar Association and staff lawyer at the Illinois Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, Mary has more than 20 years experience working on lawyer and judge ethics.
