Author Biography

Boyd Robertson is a reader in Gaelic and head of language education at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. He is a native of the island of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides, where Gaelic was his mother tongue. He has extensive experience of designing and producing courses and resources for learners of Gaelic. He is coauthor of the Teach Yourself Gaelic course and cocompiler of the Teach Yourself Gaelic Dictionary.

Gordon Wells teaches for Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Scotland's Gaelic College, on the award-winning online access course "An Cùrsa Inntrigidh." He has accumulated significant experience working with beginners in the language. He has taught students online in Canada, the United States, and Australia, as well as throughout the United Kingdom. He is currently engaged in developing community-based video materials for intermediate learners of both English and Gaelic.
