Summary

Having a strong Christian faith is certainly no guarantee against depression. But what if depression has a good purpose in Godrs"s plan? Strands of Light challenges readers to experience Godrs"s lessons through depression and to discover His divine purpose in the midst of emotional struggle. For the thousands of Christians struggling with the symptoms and effects of depression, here is the book that goes beyond finding a cure to demonstrate the positive results an experience with depression can have when we look for Godrs"s purposes in it. Authors Dr. Gary H. Lovejoy, a practicing psychologist and professor of psychology and religion, and Dr. Gregory Knopf, a family practice physician, integrate a sound theology with a professional assessment of the psychological dynamics of depression. They give readers a foundation for finding hope and purpose within their depression, and show how God can guide through the experience in a way that is as life changing as it is fulfilling of His loving purpose.
