Author Biography


Judith-Anne MacKenzie, Barrister, Formerly a member of the Government Legal Service and a former Senior Civil Servant at the Department for Transport,Aruna Nair, Associate Professor of Law, University of Oxford

Judith-Anne MacKenzie was, for 21 years, a practising barrister in the Civil Service working initially as Assistant Parliamentary Counsel (drafting legislation), and later as a Senior Civil Servant in the DTI, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Department for Transport. Prior to that she was a legal academic and a barrister in private practice. She has now retired from practice but continues to work as an author. She is also Special Advisor to the Save Me Trust.

Dr Aruna Nair is a Lecturer in Property Law at King's College London. She has experience of teaching land and property law at King's College London and at the University of Oxford where she was a part-time tutor. Before holding teaching posts Dr Nair was a Research Assistant working on property, family, and trusts law for the Law Commission.
