Summary

Written between 2011 and 2015, Through continues the inquiry into the language of public space that David Herd embarked upon in All Just. Here, five extended poems address the ways contemporary public language has been rendered officially hostile. Considering the cost of such official hostility to human intimacy, Through sets out to register broken affections, to explore the possibilities of solidarity and trust.
