Ken Robbins has written and illustrated many books for young readers on subjects as widely varied as bridges, flowers, power machines, the four elements, and building houses. His most recent book was Trucks, Giants of the Highway published by Atheneum in 1999. Mr. Robbins lives in East Hampton, Long Island.
