Author Biography

Manuel Chaves Nogales was a journalist in Seville and later in Madrid, who wrote about the Spanish Civil War. José Díaz Fernández was a Spanish writer and politician who served in the Moroccan war and died short after the Spanish Civil War. Josep Pla was a journalist and a novelist; his best-known work is El quadern gris.
