Author Biography

David Benson is the author of Owls of the North and Woodpeckers of North America. He has written many natural history articles. As a former naturalist at Hawk Ridge and Gooseberry Falls State Park, both located in northeastern Minnesota, David prides himself on being a birder/naturalist extraordinaire. He lives in Duluth, MN.
