Author Biography

Robert Seethaler was born in Vienna in 1966 and is the author of four previous novels. He also works as an actor, most recently in Paolo Sorrentino's La Grande Bellezza. He lives in Berlin.

Charlotte Collins is currently translating Robert Seethaler's The Tobacconist and cotranslating Nino Haratischwili's The Eighth Life. She is the coeditor of more than one hundred bilingual novels for young adults and has written two bilingual novels and three radio plays. She lives in London.
