Author Biography

CATHERINE TWOMEY FOSNOT is Professor of Education at the City College of New York and Director of Mathematics in the City, the inservice project described in Young Mathematicians at Work. She has twice received the "best writing" awards from AERA's Constructivist SIG as well as the "young scholar" award from the Educational Communication and Technology Journal. In addition to Young Mathematicians at Work: Constructing Number Sense, Addition, and Subtraction, her previous books include: Enquiring Teachers, Enquiring LearnersConstructivism: Theory, Perspectives, and Practice
