During the Third Reich from 1939 to 1945, forced labourers from numerous European countries had to suffer inhuman living conditions, poor health care and specific illnesses or injuries caused by bad working conditions. In this volume, eighteen authors describe and analyse the historical and moral dimensions of forced labourers' problems with health care during Nazi Germany and World War II. Basic articles on systematically reduced medical care in different regional clinics, university hospitals, medical institutions and camps or barracks for foreign labourers are accompanied by imposing reports on the personal experiences of victims and witnesses to the history of National Socialism.
