Author Biography

Cars and motorsport have been a lifelong passion for Lawrence Butcher, be it competing, preparing, writing about or photographing them. During his journalistic career he has worked for magazines such as Autosport and Racecar Engineering, and has also contributed to VolksWorld, running the product testing programme and writing technical features. Since going freelance in 2010, Lawrence has continued to cover all things VW, building a Beetle circuit racer and undertaking a number of restoration projects.
