Author Biography

John Archambeault is a senior lecturer in social work at Kingston University, contributing to undergraduate and graduate qualifying courses. He has over 16 years of health and mental health social work experience in hospital, community mental health and specialist mental health settings. The majority of his work has involved psychotherapeutic practice in the United States and work in therapeutic communities in the UK, including at the Henderson Hospital and the Cassel Service. He holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He is also a qualified acupuncturist with a special interest in treating substance misuse problems, emotional difficulties and stress.
