El autor encabezó un distinguido grupo de arquitectos, diseñadores,educadores y estudiantes con el fin de construir un taller de estudio de siete días seguidos para estudiar el urbanismo y el ambiente de la ciudad de Barcelona pero en un plan futurista. BCN (sigla que significa Barcelona) se refiere al profusamente ilustrado documento escrito en español e inglés y producido por el autor en el mencionado taller. BCN considera que las tendencias modernas en diseño, arquitectura, y urbanismo, debieran emerger considerando el futuro cercano. El punto esencial de este estudio fue el diseño imaginario de una ciudad concebida an base a la velocidad y la fricción (como si fuera la carrera de fórmula 1). Este equipo de profesionales organizaron grupos de estudiantes y diseñadores para entregar ideas de diseño, tecnología, planificación y arquitectura derivada de este visionario concepto de una ciudad del futuro.
