The Rainbow Rescue

When Gisselle, a misguided witch with green skin and a bad attitude follows a rainbow into the center of town for a pot of gold at the rainbow's end, she is scorned and laughed at for being a fool. In a fit of anger she curses the town by stealing all the colors of the rainbow, leaving behind a grim and colorless village. Over time the people of Uppygoo have become accustomed to their dull and colorless lives, but in the process have developed a deep fear and mistrust of anyone with green skin. But an unlikely friendship is formed between a village boy and a kind witch. They are determined to not only restore the rainbow's colors, but in doing so remove the fear and prejudice from the hearts of the villagers.

Don Davidson has never received literary accolades for his writing. He has however, been recognized by his wife of 48 years, his two adult daughters , and his three beautiful teenage grandchildren, as an accomplished stretcher of the truth and teller of tales. Dale Leroux is an artist/craftsman who served over thirty-four years as an editorial cartoonist for several local newspapers. He and his wife have two married daughters and four grandchildren, all of whom love the outdoors and everything the great State of Maine has to offer.
