Author Biography

Barry Keith Grant is Professor of Film and Popular Culture at Brock University, Ontario, Canada.  He is the author of Film Genre: From Iconography to Ideology (2007) and Voyages of Discovery: The Cinema of Frederic Wiseman (1992). Jim HillIer is Lecturer in Film Studies at the University of Reading.  He has edited a number of books, including American Independent Cinema (BFI 2001), Howard Hawks: American Artist (BFI 1996) and two volumes of selections from the Cahiers du Cinema.
