Author Biography

Julie Loo, a former principal of Shanghai Singapore International School, XuHui Campus, has been in the education field in Singapore and Shanghai for more than 28 years. Being an educator, she shares the author’s passion in wanting people learning Chinese Language to appreciate the beauty of the language. Born in 1969, Xu Hui is a freelance writer, presently residing in Dali, Yunnan. He was the chief editor for Temperament of the Sixties, The Backdoor of Chinese History, and other works, and co-author of The New Shuowen Interpretation, The Chinese Language Dictionary, and the series Looking at History the Fun Way. His books include The Art of Body Charm: Body Politics in Chinese History,etc.
