Marc Zev is an engineer who has published in the fields of Structural Mechanics and Information Technology. He is founder and president of the Foundation for Innovative Learning, a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the problem-solving abilities of children and adults. He also owns Pensive Products, which creates educational tools, such as Math Flaps, a manipulative specifically designed to teach division. Kevin Segal has a Bachelor's in Pure Mathematics and a Master's in Applied Mathematics, both from California State University, Fullerton. He also completed four years of post-graduate studies in Applied Mathematics at UCLA. An Associate of the Society of Actuaries, he now works as a "charismatic number cruncher." Her titles include Breastfeeding at a Glance: Facts, Figures and Trivia about Breastfeeding, Milk, Money and Madness: The Culture and Politics of Breastfeeding, and 101 Things Everyone Should Know About Science. She teaches family science classes at children's and science museums around the US. She has spoken at national and international conferences for such groups as American Association for the Advancement of Science, National Association of Biology Teachers, La Leche League International, Smithsonian Institution, and the Museum of Science.
